How to Handle Environmental Problems
The an environment is a dwelling place for the flora and fauna where they can sustain their survival. In the recent times, the environment has suffered a lot of problems which has affected its ability to sustain growth. A major causal agent for all environmental problems is the growth in the number of people in the world which has led for people to fight for the scarce resources available. Overpopulation leads to other issues such as water pollution, deforestation which all deplete the environment of its resources. Plant plants have died due to the unfavorable prevailing weather patterns and all these due to greenhouse effect which can be dealt with by planting trees
Another major environmental issue is global warming and just as the word suggests it is the increase in the temperature of earth due to gases such as carbon dioxide and water vapor and this makes it uncomfortable for living organisms to survive in such conditions. Contamination of the atmosphere by dangerous gases and bad smell from manufacturing entities negatively affects the environment. Another contributing factor to the environmental contamination and pollution is the excessive growth of urban areas which makes people be overpopulated in a zone, and due to this, social crimes such as prostitution, drug abuse, and theft come about. This continuous cutting of trees leads to lack of rainfall and exhaustion of water bodies and it ultimately affects the environment negatively. Careless disposal of industrial waste materials into the earth has some ill effects since they contaminate the ground.
Acid rain hurts plants; it corrodes the iron sheets so you can imagine the amount of damage it does to the living plants. The development of genetically modified organisms is another adverse effect on the environment because these genetic foods are known to cause cancer.
However, there is still hope for our environment, and the damage that has been done can be salvaged by for example running campaigns and develop community organizations whose duty will be to educate people on the importance of environmental conservation. Another way to deal with environmental issues and especially pollution would be to implement strict rules and regulations about the seriousness of conserving the environment so that if anyone breaks this law will suffer the consequences. To handle the issue about the influx of people in the towns can be dealt by promoting growth even in the less developed areas so that people will not see the need to keep on moving again, and this will control the population levels in the cities and ultimately conserve the environment. Taking care of the environment should be not only left out to the government.Short Course on Resources – Covering The Basics
